ARTISTS SALON

Salon Night   SALON NIGHT

Based on the popular Artists Salons of early 1900's Paris, this informal gathering of like-minded artists, musicians, poets, writers, teachers and art lovers is open to all members of the community, meeting every Tuesday at 6pm.

A weekly gathering of interesting and interested people who wish to share views, discuss local issues, generate ideas, and build community + listen to/participate in creating art, poetry, and making great music!

Historically, the salon is a gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, held partly to amuse one another and partly to refine taste and increase their knowledge of the participants through conversation. These gatherings often consciously followed Horace's definition of the aims of poetry, "either to please or to educate" ("aut delectare aut prodesse est"). Salons, commonly associated with French literary and philosophical movements of the 17th century and 18th centuries, are currently carried on in urban settings, among like-minded people. Join us every Tuesday from 7pm to 10pm.

Free admission thanks to the generous sponsorship of Reid Lerner!

See you there.
